Express Our Gratitude

Dear Salesian Family,

This is a special time of year to express our gratitude to God for all the good things in life. It is a good time to acknowledge the kindness that others have shown us. For just a few minutes, let us step outside of our busy day-to-day routine and set aside some quiet family time. We can simply sit together and find something, no matter how small, for which to be grateful. It is those who are filled with gratitude that find a song of joy in their hearts. Let us take the time to express our appreciation to those we hold most dear. Let us intentionally extend a kind gesture of service in whatever form may be possible at this time; it will certainly mean so much to them.

There was a very tangible expression of generosity by our Salesian families this past week, as donated bags filled with Thanksgiving meal trimmings decorated our cafeteria floor. The sections set up for each grade level were filled with a substantial representation of generosity. These bags will be sent to our local Loaves and Fishes, which ministers to the many families that were victims of the recent fires. Thank you for your generosity; this is what Salesian is all about!
