Welcome to our school library!
Reading is fundamental and a cornerstone to any strong education, and a love of reading will bring a lifetime of joy.
Our school library is a cozy place where students can discover their love for reading and books. Reading provides a mirror into ourselves, a window to someone else’s life or an adventure that we might not otherwise take. Unequivocally, the practice of reading prepares students for the beautiful world that awaits them!
The library goals include sparking a love for books and reading, practicing proper behavior in a library and towards borrowed books, and to graduate with a deep and profound respect for the written word and confidence to navigate any library with a basic understanding of how libraries and books are organized.
The online library catalog allows parents and students to search our current book collection.
This catalog allows students to search by Title, Author, Subject or Genre. Narrow your search further by Collection——Picture Book, Early Reader, Biography, Non Fiction, or more. Sections such as ‘Book Descriptions’ and ‘Similar Books in This Library’ help students choose books and ensure they keep reading within their interests.
We encourage you to spend time exploring the catalog and our many books! Don’t see the book you’re looking for? We are still updating our catalog so be sure to check with Mrs. Triacca or your homeroom teacher.
If you would like more information about volunteering in the library or would like to request a specific book, please contact Mrs. Sara Triacca at library@salesianschool.org
If you are so inclined, please visit our Amazon Wish List. We frequently update this list to reflect the needs of our library and the student’s interests. Your gift of books are appreciated by our students, are tax deductible, and count as Parent Service Hours.
