Those who have come before us
/Dear Salesian Families,
On November 1, Salesian will celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints, with a special Mass led by our third-grade class. This day provides us with a time to pause and reflect on all the holy women and men who have come before us and those who live among us. There are so many kind and loving people around us who witness with their example. They speak of the goodness of the Spirit of God that lives within them. They radiate joy and peace. Let us pray for each other and learn from one another and from the lives of those who lived the Gospel following in the footsteps of Jesus. We too can be saints some day!
The following day, November 2, is All Souls Day. It is a day set aside for us to pray for all our loved ones who have died. As Catholics we believe that it is through our prayers and sacrifices, that our departed are cleansed and are ready to enter heaven for their eternal reward.
Below is a form that you may use to write the names of loved ones who have died. These forms will be placed in our chapel and the Sisters will pray for them throughout the month of November during our daily Mass.
God bless,
Sr. Carmen, FMA
