Catholic Schools Week - Celebrating Catholic Education
/Dear Salesian Family,
Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. It starts the last Sunday of January and runs all week. This year will start with an 11:00 AM festive Mass at Resurrection parish on January 26th. The theme for this year is Learn, Serve, Lead, Succeed. Throughout the week we focus on the value that Catholic education provides young people and its’ priceless contribution to our church, our communities and our nation. We have attached a listing of the activities that will take place on a schoolwide level during the week. You are welcome to join us for the closing of our Catholic Schools Week celebrations with a special Mass in honor of St. John Bosco, the founder of our Salesian religious congregation.
We are getting closer to finalizing our work for our accreditation in March. As we previously mentioned, we are very interested in your input and value all you have to share. We will conduct yet another survey to continue identifying our strengths and areas where we need improvement. Your participation in this survey will greatly help us in our Self-Study process. This coming Friday we will conduct an In-service day for our faculty and staff to review our Self-Study document in preparation for the Visiting Team. Thank you for your continued support and interest in working with us toward our accreditation. We are grateful for all that has already been done to help us prepare for this big step in our continued growth as a Salesian School.
God bless!
Sister Carmen, FMA
