Open the eyes of my Heart

Dear Salesian Family,

Many of us have certainly had the experience of getting an eye exam only to find out that we have poor vision. We may not realize how distorted we have been seeing the world until we put our prescription glasses on for the first time. Suddenly we can see the clear and vibrant colors around us, and are so grateful that we can finally read fine print!

Taking time to sit and speak with Jesus opens the eyes of our hearts. This allows us to see what is causing us so much stress and see the reality of what we are experiencing. Finally, we are able to see things in perspective. We need to give ourselves time to reflect and pray to be healed of our blindness to God’s presence in our lives. He is always with us, ready to help and guide us.
