Weekly Update 2/10/2020

Good morning parents!

I hope you all had a nice weekend. We have a few updates for this week:

Tomorrow, Tuesday February 11th, we will be celebrating Our Lady of Lourdes mass at 11:00 am in the chapel. If you are available to join us, all are welcome! Please make sure your student comes to school in full dress uniform for mass.

This Thursday, February 13th, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day. Students may wear red free-dress for $1. Student council will be collecting money in morning carpool. We are keeping our celebrations small this year- I will be making one small treat for the kids to have during our party at the very end of the day. We will be exchanging Valentine’s Day cards, but it is important that every student in class get a card. Your child does not have to address every card if they do not want to, but I will send home a complete list of names tomorrow if they do.

This Friday, February 14th, we do not have school due to a faculty WCEA work day. Additionally, we also do not have school this coming Monday, February 17th, due to President’s Day. Enjoy the long weekend!

Finally, I wanted to advertise a very special event we are offering to mothers and sons. On February 28th, from 6:00-8:00 pm, we will be having a mother and son dance party in the cafeteria. Although it is advertised as a “mother and son” dance, we would like to stress that students may bring non-Salesian moms, aunts, grandmas, male friends or siblings. This is a wonderful event that includes a neon glow in the dark theme, pizza, a candy bar, prizes for best dressed, fun dance games, a performance by a hip hop dance crew, and a DJ. The RSVP deadline for this event is February 21st.

As always, please reach out to me with any questions. I hope you all have a wonderful week!
