Swimming Starts After Easter Break
/Dear Parents,
Hoping that your Easter break has been restful and filled with the new life, hope and joy of the Risen Lord!
Coach Croghan sent the following information regarding swimming after the break, so I want to be sure that you have it with a few days of prep.
Hello Spartans!
As we return back to school from break, we will begin swimming in PE. Please be sure that your child has all they need for swimming. The students must have: a modest swimsuit (one piece, no exceptions), towel, flip flops or sandals, swim caps (for girls) and a swim bag to put it all in. Goggles and sunscreen are optional but recommended. We will need parent help in the K, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, so please coordinate with your teacher to be sure we have plenty of coverage for all times. You will receive two volunteer hours for every PE class that you attend to help volunteer with swim. The more parents we have in the water with the little ones, and helping with the changing before and after, the more smoothly things will go.
If we do not have enough parent volunteers for a class, then we will not swim that day. The first week back from break every class will get into the pool on the second PE class of the week. The first PE class students will not need to bring swim gear as we will be reviewing pool rules and changing etiquette.Thank you!
