Into December!!!

Hello Again,

Now that we have some of the logistics up and running for December, I wanted to touch base with you about our studies for this month (besides Santa)! Also please know that Miss Croghan has been out, so we are a little backed up on getting papers home to you this week. There are some, but clearly not all.

ELA - Sight words, pre-readers, true story v. fake fiction, size/shape/form/placement of upper and lowercase letters, spacing between words in a sentence, changing just one sound to make new words, all letter sounds, and making our own dictionary.

Math - Capacity, Pattern/Comparison, #0-20, Counting to 100 by 10's and 1's.

Religion - Four weeks of Advent, Our Lady of Guadalupe/Juan Diego, The Holy Family, "Jesus Is The Reason For The Season."

Social Studies - Shelters, Winter Then and Now

Science - Winter Animals, Animal Shelters, Weather/Seasons

Art - Christmas crafts, Directed Draw

Music- Silent Night and our Christmas Program

I hope this helps you to have great conversations with your kids and decode some of what comes home!

Peace On Earth,

Mrs. Shannon Lenz
