Week of 10/19/20

Good morning parents,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I have a few reminders and updates for you this week:

Our siesta mats for the students have come in. If you have not already done so, please send your child with $35 (either cash or check) to purchase one of these mats. Every student is required to use a siesta mat provided by the school.

As a reminder, please make sure to send your student with their homework folder every day. Handouts and flyers will go home from time-to-time, and we all know what a kindergartener's backpack looks like by the end of the day- the folder ensures this important paperwork gets to you in one piece! I will send home their homework packet every Monday morning, which should stay home for the week. Completed pages must be turned in to Seesaw by the end of the school day. As mentioned before, having students complete their homework every night helps them develop good work habits early on.

Please make sure that you have completed and turned in our technology use agreement form sent home last week. We do use our Chromebooks in class for academic support, and each student must have that paperwork turned in in order to do so.

I am so incredibly proud of the shoebox habitats turned in last week! The effort and care that went into the projects is so apparent, and I could tell how much fun the students had making them. If your student has not completed and turned in their habitat, please make sure that comes to school this Wednesday. If you are unclear as to what habitat was assigned to them, please send me an email.

Finally, we have a very fun "pumpkin run" fundraiser coming up next Friday, October 30th. Please make sure to register your student for the fundraiser, and send out information to family and friends. Here is the link where you can register: https://pledgestar.com/salesian/ I have also included the constant contact attachment to this email.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out! Have a wonderful week,

-Miss Jones
