Week January 11-15

A Very Happy and Blessed New Year to one and all. Every New Year brings us new opportunities to be new in our heart and take all God given opportunities to be healthy and positive persons. This is my wish for you and me.

Religion: We will be doing Unit 5 : Morality, Our Lived Faith. Session 21: The Ten Commandments describes how God shepherded the Hebrews on their journey to the Promised Land and gave them the Ten Commandments. Their Covenant with God guaranteed their freedom in return for their steadfast worship. Jesus' Commandment to love one another reveals the deeper meaning of the Ten Commandments.

Reading: We should be finishing by the end of the month our little Novel: Patty Reed's Doll. This week we should be doing Chapter 15-16.

When the students return they are to bring their diorama of one of the scene chosen from any one book: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory or James and the Giant Peach. The Diorama needs to be in a sturdy box. The scene needs to portray an event from any of the book chosen. Only Rubric for this assignment is to present to the class with a brief description of the diorama to the classmates.

Vocabulary: We will continue to review and do Unit 9 this week.

Grammar: We will continue to study Adverbs
