Week of August 24th-28th
/Religion: 4th Graders are going to learn that Jesus teaches us that God is our Loving Father.
Reading: Our next lesson is a Biography. The authors, William and Ellen Craft escape from a life of slavery means risking their lives with only their wits and courage, two train tickets, and a small amount of money. They embark as master and slave on a harrowing train ride from Baltimore to Philadelphia, where they find their freedom. The couple’s yearning for freedom, their fear of capture, and their close calls makes this true story a tense and poignant adventure.
Reminder: Usernames and Passwords for AR Testing were sent home. Students are required to read and take tests. Students are required to take the AR Test every other week.
Grammar: We will be working on Unit 1, Lesson 2:Simple Subjects and Simple Predicates
Vocabulary: We will continue the lesson: “Diary of a Rising Star.” Unit 1.We will work on Word Associations, Latin Roots, Words in Context, Word Study, Idioms. Vocabulary Words will be for the Spelling Test every other Thursday. A little later students will be required to know the Meanings of the Vocabulary words.
P.E: This Thursday, 4th Graders will have P.E from 9:00 - 10:00 AM.
