Week of October 5th - 9th
/Religion: Our new lesson this week is Jesus Our Redeemer. Jesus has send us the Holy Spirit to guide his believers on the road He Himself traveled from Death to New Life. Through His Resurrection Jesus redeemed us and won justification for us. We sinners are reconciled with God.
Reading: our new lesson is: "A Covered Wagon Girl." This story follows the travels of one girl westward with her family on the trail to California. Her diary format allow the students to read a firsthand account of a very important part of U.S. History.
Read AR Book for 25 minutes every night.
Writing: In class, students will write a Personal Narrative: Highlight of a Memorable Event.
Vocabulary: We are still working on Unit 4. The FBI Magazine Article. Students will be tested on Vocabulary Words this Friday and Dictation of the same words.
Grammar: We will continue to work on Nouns, Singular/Plural Nouns, Irregular Plural Nouns, and Possessive Nouns.
P.E.: Every Thursday from 2:00 - 2:50 PM.
