UPDATE: Casa de Fruta Field Trip is CANCELLED

Due to the widespread power outages, our Casa de Fruta field trip is cancelled. Casa de Fruta’s location on the outage map is currently shown without power. Ms. Jones and I have been in contact, and have been trying to reach out to anyone at Casa de Fruta, but have been unsuccessful. We are also in contact with Sister Carmen and Salesian. We will let you know the final decision by 7pm tonight.

We are so disappointed by the turn of events, as I’m sure the kids will be too. Although this is the case, I want to make sure we’re also helping our kids to understand how grateful we are to be safe from the wildfires that are currently and potentially threatening California. I know I will be praying for the safety of all those evacuating and fighting these fires.
