Today we discussed the meaning of factors and multiples and related multiples to factors.
* A factor is a whole number. Any whole number can be expressed as the product of two or more factors. * A multiple is any number which is the product of the given number and a whole number.
Example: 4 X 3 = 12, then 4 and 3 are factors of 12. Or, 12 is a multiple of both 3 and 4.
Students will find the factors of the following multiples.
Remember to list all of them not just one or two factors.
a. 36
b. 64
c. 56
d. 72
e. 124
f. 144
g. 108
h. 120
Once you have completed the assignment please log on to seesaw and take a picture of the assignment and post it. I will correct your work on seesaw and we will also correct together as a class tomorrow Tuesday 8/25.
Vocabulary: Review the 12 vocabulary words from Unit 1 in your Vocabulary Books and make sure you know the definition of the 12 words along with the spelling.
Reading: Read for 30 minutes a book of your choice. You can take AR tests. I emailed your parents with usernames and passwords.
