I hope everyone had a great first week on campus!

Monday, 10/12, is a professional development day for teachers so students can enjoy a day off!

Thank you for requesting donations for the October 30th, Pumpkin Run fundraiser!  There’s still time to ask friends, family members, and local businesses for their support.

Beginning this Friday, there will be a weekly spelling test.  Nightly spelling homework will be in the homework folder.  The new weekly spelling follows spelling patterns that are important to know.

The students will continue to be tested on the meaning of vocabulary every other week from the Vocabulary Workshop (a workbook) but are no longer required to learn to spell those words.  Students who want to continue to learn to spell the vocabulary are encouraged to do so!

Early next week students will have a math test on Numbers to 10,000 (place value, number patterns, and rounding) and Addition and Subtraction.  This week we’ll practice word problems with addition and subtraction, and review all concepts previously covered.  Then we’ll begin Multiplication and Division.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or comments at peet@salesianschool.org
