Pumpkin Patch and Rules Are Cool!

Yes!!!!!! The pumpkin patch is finally here! Thursday is our grand adventure to the patch and park! Please remember that all Kinder will be dismissed by 2:00 from the park! Call the office if you need anymore details about locations! They need to have a snack, lunch and water bottle with them. They will not be at school for hot lunch.

We will be beginning our Unit 3: Rules at Home and School are cool! This is our first Social Studies Unit. Like Unit 1 where we talked about Science and the needs of living things, we will use this topic to study our phonics, reading and writing skills. I hope you will all take a careful look at our Unit 2 magazine that will be home shortly that was all about parts of a story. The kids did tons of work in Unit 2 and the progress is starting to show!

Math we will wrap up #0-10 and talk about their order on a number line. We talk about ordinal numbers daily during our calendar time already! We are trying to really get all the Kinder onto a level ground with their basics of counting, order and print.

In October we have been working on the timeline of Jesus’ life through the prayer of the rosary. This week we will be focusing on the Sorrowful Mysteries. This can be challenging at their age BUT the Glorious Mysteries will really help to comfort them. Our faith is a challenging one, but Easter is the victory!
