Week of 5/10/21
/Good morning parents!
I want to start by saying a very happy Mother's Day to all our moms! I hope you felt the love this weekend and were treated to some much-deserved pampering and relaxation.
It is hard to believe, but this is our last full week of school! As such, we will have a few assessments for the students to complete throughout the week. Primarily, we will be having the students take their Renaissance assessments on their Chromebooks. This test is important as we use it both for progress monitoring as well as for data to send to the diocese. Please make sure your student comes to school well-rested and well-fed to ensure their success on this test.
Additionally, I will be completing one-on-one math assessments with the students to add to their academic profiles. Because we have completed our Language Arts book and will be focusing on assessments for math this week, we will not have homework. That being said, I do request that you make sure to practice your student's lines for our promotion with them as well as continue reading each night.
As a reminder, your promotion videos are due to me by this Sunday, May 16th. I will be incorporating these videos into an end-of-the-year slideshow the students will have to remember their first year of school.
Finally, I will be sending home invitations with details for promotion this week, so please look out for that! I hope you all have a wonderful week,
Miss Jones
