Week of 11/23/20
/Good morning parents,
I hope you all are doing well. We have a couple of updates and reminders for this week:
Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 24th, we will be having a school-wide Mass at 9:00 am outside in the quad area. We are so blessed to be able to invite Father Rudy to join us in celebrating the many things we have to be grateful for. Due to our protocols in place, however, this Mass will look a little different than we are used to- because we will be outside, we ask that you send your student with a jacket to keep them warm.
Last week I sent home the student's supplies buckets, which they will need for home-learning. Please make sure everything stays organized so they will be prepared to jump right back into our home-learning schedule beginning next week. Please note that the student's emails will be turned off for the Thanksgiving break, so they will not be able to access their Chromebook during that time. We will begin Monday-Thursday mornings with our school-wide assembly using the code "mmbosco" and proceed to our classroom session immediately following using the code "salesiankinder". Please remember that while we are home-learning, Friday will be a half-day. As normal, I will take that day to conduct the end-of-unit assessments the students have in their Language Arts books. I will email you all individually with your times.
Finally, I would like to take this time to let you know how grateful I am for your children and, of course, all of you! We all know this year has not looked like any of us anticipated it would, but the support and love the children have received whether learning at home or in the classroom has been such a blessing. Their smiling faces, laughter, and enthusiasm for school have truly been a light in my life.
I hope you all have a truly wonderful Thanksgiving with your families,
-Miss Jones
