Week February 22-26:

Religion: First Week of Lent . As we continue our Lenten Journey of 40 days, let us think of Jesus fast in the wilderness. During Lent the Church focus on our need for God's forgiveness as individuals and as a community. Let us continue our practices of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

In class we will study the Stations of the Cross.

Reading: Our new lesson this week: The Dust Bowl of the 1930's in the Great Plains of the United States caused much devastation and heartache. This story chronicles The Dust Bowl, its causes, and the effects it had on the people who lived through it. Students will learn how overworking the land, paired with drought, caused crops to die and houses to be buried in feet of dry dirt. Students will also understand the Great Depression added to the hardships and how lives were forever altered during this time in History.

Read 25 minutes every night, AR Test a must at the end of the week.

The Story Cube Book Report Packet will be send home with a timeline when assignments are due.

Vocabulary: We will continue to study Unit 12. This Friday we will have Vocabulary and Dictation of words Test)

Grammar: We will continue our study of Pronouns
