Dear Fourth Grade Parents,
I pray you enjoy your summer vacation. I look forward to seeing all of you next year. Please click on the summer homework and supply list for fourth grade, so that you are prepared for the new school year of 2024-2025! Remember God gives us 168 hours in a week and asks us for only one on Sunday. Go to Mass every Sunday and visit Him.

September 8th: The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary

September 9th: Back to School Night

Religion: God Calls Us to Obey all Authority. God speaks to us through our conscience. Seesaw activity due by Friday.

Reading: This week our lesson is a play based on the life of Langston Hughes. As a young man studying engineering at Colombia University, Hughes realizes that he dot not share his father's dream for the future. After frequenting Harlem scene, Hughes realizes that his true passion is writing. Despite his father's disapproval of his desire to be a writer, he finds the strength to follow his dream and is now one of America's finest poets.

AR Reading 25 minutes per night.

Vocabulary: We will continue Unit 2: Spring Training: A New Beginning. Study for test, Vocabulary Dictation on Friday.

Grammar: Unit 1, Lesson 5: Simple and Compound Sentences
