Dear Fourth Grade Parents,
I pray you enjoy your summer vacation. I look forward to seeing all of you next year. Please click on the summer homework and supply list for fourth grade, so that you are prepared for the new school year of 2024-2025! Remember God gives us 168 hours in a week and asks us for only one on Sunday. Go to Mass every Sunday and visit Him.

Week November 30 - December 4

Religion: Advent is a joyful anticipation. We await the coming among us the Person of Jesus. The Jesse Tree represents the Family Tree of Jesus. Each ornament represent a story from the Bible. Each story shows God's Salvation plan and tell how He guided humanity to prepare for the coming of the Messiah.

Tradition of the Jesse Tree dates back to the middle ages. The name "Jesse Tree comes from Isaiah 11:1. Jesse is the father of King David. The Savior was to come from David's family line.

Reading: Daily read 25 minutes. We will work on Chapter 9-10 of Patty Duke's Doll.

Vocabulary: We will read Unit 8: Journal Article: :Hiking the Appalachian Trail.

Grammar: We will study Demonstrative Adjectives
