Hello 1st Grade Parents!

We have an exciting week in 1st grade! Make sure to check back here in case there are more updates throughout the week! Most importantly, today I will be sending home the Field Trip carpool/chaperone groups in their homework folder. This also has important details about the schedule of our day! Make sure you look it over, and please let me know if you have any questions or concerns!

There will be no spelling this week, due to such a short school week with our field trip and day off on Friday.

This week please try to find the time to have a conversation with your child about the importance of staying in their filed trip group at all times in the Aquarium, which is a very busy place! In addition, it is equally important to mention staying healthy and washing our hands with soap as necessary during the current state of health concerns in our community. I will bring hand wipes and sanitizer on the field trip for the students.

Friday 3/13 - NO SCHOOL - Enjoy your 3-Day Weekend!

Saturday- March 14th - Salesian Gala + Auction - Parents only! Come to support our wonderful school!

Monterey Bay Aquarium Field Trip Information

Field Trip Location: Monterey Bay Aquarium

Meet up Location: Aldridge Park - Corralitos, Ca @ 7:15 am. Leave at 7:30 AM

Cost: Free!

Meeting Zone at Aquarium: 8:30 - 9:00 AM Hovden Way entrance at the Monterey Bay Aquarium (Members entrance alley)

Discovery Lab: 9:15 start time

Lunch: 11:30 Am at the Aquarium Picnic Area. Students bring a packed lunch, or money to buy a lunch at the cafeteria with their chaperone. I suggest bringing a packed lunch!

Explore Aquarium: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm. Must be with your chaperone + carpool group!

Leave Aquarium : 1:30 pm - Drive back to Aldridge Park. Arrive at Aldridge park around 2:30-3:00 pm for parent pick-up.
