Just a reminder that P.E. is Mondays and Wednesdays.
Please support the learning of both addition and subtraction facts by quizzing your child with flashcards or your own method. It’s such a breakthrough for students when they have basic facts memorized.
In Monday’s homework folder, there will be a “Friendly Notes” packet about Unit 2: Addition and Subtraction. It’s a reference for you when helping your child with their homework.
Work from last week will be sent home this Tuesday. Please review your child’s work with him/her. Your feedback makes a difference in the effort and care they apply to their work.
Homework for the Week of September 20
Mon:
Language Arts: Read the spelling list with your parent. Start studying your words.
Math: Workbook p. 32-33. As always, do what you can. I’m happy if you try to solve the problems!
Other: Read at least 20 minutes and fill out your Daily Reading Log.
Tues:
Language Arts: Write your spelling words using bubble letters.
Math: Workbook p. 34-35. Do your best!
Other: Vocabulary Test tomorrow. Review the definitions, synonyms, and antonyms for the 10 words in the Route 66 article.
Read at least 20 minutes and fill out your Daily Reading Log.
Wed:
Language Arts: Write your spelling words 5x times each.
Math: Workbook p. 36-37 Give it your best try!
Other: Social Studies Test tomorrow - be able to identify the 7 continents and 5 oceans on a world map.
Read at least 20 minutes and fill out your Daily Reading Log.
Thurs:
Language Arts: Study your spelling words. Test tomorrow.
Math: Workbook p. 38-39 Do what you can!
Other: Read the selection, Teammates, in your reading book to a parent or to yourself.
Read at least 20 minutes and fill out your Daily Reading Log.
