There’s a copy of the homework in the Homework Folder.  Daily, please have your child check off each assignment as they complete it.

Please, daily, practice multiplication facts with your child and listen to your child read aloud for 5-10  minutes.  The remainder of the reading time, your child should read on their own.  Please check that the Reading Log is filled out each night.  I collect them on Fridays and give credit for each night of reading.

Homework needs to be returned the following day in the Homework Folder, completed fully and neatly.  Late homework needs to be completed within one day.  A student has the same number of days to make up homework as they were absent.

Homework

 Monday

·      Vocabulary Test on Tuesday – Unit 5 in Vocabulary Workshop – review the definitions on pp. 48-49 with a family member

·      Math -  Exercise 2: More Word Problems pp. 53-54 (in HW Folder)

·      Multiplication Facts – with a family member practice multiplying by 2, 3 and 4 (blank pages in HW Folder to use for practice)

·      Read at least 20 minutes and fill out the Reading Log

Tuesday

·      Math – More Word Problems #7-13 (in HW Folder)

·      Multiplication Facts – with a family member practice multiplying by 5 and 10 (blank pages in HW folder to use for practice)

·      Spelling (Long e) – p. 31 and study words

·      Read at least 20 minutes and fill out the Reading Log

Wednesday

·      Math – complete multiplication facts pages for multiplying by 6 and 7– ask a family member to check the facts and practice with you.  Bring to class on Thursday.

·      Spelling – p. 32 and study words

·      Read at least 20 minutes and fill out the Reading Log

Thursday

·      Math – complete multiplication facts pages for multiplying by 8 and 9 – ask a family member to check the facts and practice with you.  Bring to class on Friday.

·      Math – if needed, finish work from class, Textbook pages 83 (#1) & 84 (#3)

·      Spelling Test on Friday – Study the words on p. 30 with a family member (words in the Homework Folder)

·      Read at least 20 minutes and fill out the Reading Log - Turn in Reading Log on Friday
