Third Grade News and Homework for the Week of September 16, 2019

Dates to Remember:

Friday 9/20: St. Francis Fun Day: Drop off at St. Francis High School at 8:00. The fun starts with Mass at 8:30 and then fun, fun, fun! Pick up at St. Francis at 1:00. Students should wear new spirit shirt and jeans with P.E. shoes.

Tuesday 9/24: Mary, Help of Christians Mass at 11:00.

Wednesday 9/25: Picture Day: Full dress uniform.

Thursday 9/26: Booster fundraiser: San Francisco Giants Game/If you are planning to participate in this fundraiser would you please let me know,so that I can plan accordingly:)

Friday 9/27: No School for you! Enjoy your three day weekend.

Penny Wars will conclude Wednesday 9/25! Bring in pennies and sabotage money. All proceeds go towards “Get on the Bus.”

Spelling: Focus is short e words. Packets are due this Thursday due to the FUN DAY at ST. FRANCIS on FRIDAY 9/20. Spelling assessment on Thursday also.

Reading: Students will take a final assessment on the Civil Rights unit this Wednesday, September 18. Study guides are in your Homework folders. Make sure you are studying those every night.

Reading: Read 20 minutes per night and log on Reading Log.

Thursday, October 18, Seussical Musical performed by CYT. We have tickets to the 9:00 AM showing. So far the Kindergarten and 6th grade classes are going to the play. Cost: $10.00 per person

E mail has been sent to the Tech Museum and IMAX in San Jose. I have asked for a lab and we will be watching an IMAX movie about Volcanoes.

Cost: $275.00 lab and IMAX movie $10.00 per person
