Spring 2020 Testimonials from Salesian Parents
I am truly impressed with how Salesian’s teachers were able to pivot their lesson plans and modes of communication with our three children so seamlessly in this time of distance learning. They have worked tirelessly to keep our kids engaged, active, and encouraged. Our Salesian community is very special, and we are truly blessed to be a part of it. Thank you, Teachers & Staff! - Parents of students in grades 1, 5, and 8
We were very impressed with how quickly the school and teachers adjusted to distance learning. The students day and the class curriculum maintained a normal structure as if they were still in the classroom. My son has enjoyed learning through new platforms and tools that have enhanced his experience. The whole family gives distance learning at Salesian two thumbs up! - Parent of a student in grade 2
After in class learning ended so abruptly in March, my 3rd grader was very sad and missed her teacher and classmates dearly. The first day of distance learning began and my daughter opened up her chrome book to “meet” with her class, the look on her face made my heart leap out of my chest. The ability to be with her teacher and friends virtually throughout this difficult time has been priceless. - Parent of a a student in grade 3
Our family made the transition to distance-learning very easily. In Particular, the junior high staff was well equipped to begin instruction on the first day of shelter in place. Our children in 7th and 8th grade were able to pick right up where they left off and continue turning in assignments and presenting work virtually. For our third grader, the instruction and lessons were engaging and fun. The amount of work that was expected from him was age appropriate and easily doable. - Parent of students in grades 3, 7, and 8
We have a newfound appreciation for what our children's days look like, as a Salesian student. It is not only challenging but rewarding to see how much they are learning throughout the day and the loving environment in which they are learning. I’m thankful my son's teacher was so organized, readily available and always willing to help. She truly made the transition to distance learning so much easier. We are more than a school, we truly are a family! - Parent of a student in grade 5
