Yes! We are hoping to get to the Salinas Monterey Zoo this week on Thursday! We will come to school as usual and go to assembly. Kids will be in their PE Shirts and jeans or blue school shorts. We will snack and bathroom here before leaving about 9:15. We will enter the zoo from 10:00 to noon and travel back to Aldridge Park right down the hill from school. Kids will enjoy their lunches there and we will have goodies for them. We will not be shopping at the zoo. PLEASE pick up your child from the park by 2:00. I will need to be back up hill for 2:50 carpool. Please label all jackets, lunches and booster seats.

At Back to School Night I forgot to let you know how grading for Social Studies and Science work. Both Social Studies and Science are done thematically through our ELA Benchmark Curriculum and our seasonal holidays. This means that we will have one theme/unit of Science and Social Studies in a grading period and sometimes more.
