1st Grade Class News + Updates: Week of January 27th-31st - Catholic Schools Week!

Happy Catholic Schools Week! We have a lot of fun in store this week, but as always below are the spelling words for our school week!

Tues, Jan 28 - Class Colors & Field Day - Each class are to wear their class color
1st - yellow
Wed, Jan 29 - Crazy Hair & Pajama Day
Thur, Jan 30 - Chinese New Year - We are celebrating Chinese New Year, students may wear red & yellow or Asian attire with school tennis shoes.
We will be hosting a “Chinese Market” fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $1000 for the Crisis Pregnancy Center.
Here is how the market will work:
We ask that all students participate by donating items to our market. Students are to bring 12 items in a container, box or basket, to be sold at the market. Items can be new or gently used.
Here’s your chance to clean out those items your child is no longer playing with and donate to market.
Some examples are ...
Fresh baked or store bought cookies, brownies, cupcakes, donuts, candy bars, chips, popcorn
Gently used children's books
Gently used stuffed animals
Gently used legos
Play doh/clay
Rosaries/holy cards
New toothbrushes/toothpaste
McDonald toys
Items for sale will be priced $.25 - $1.00
Students will bring money to shop at the market.
Student Council will be hosting a lunch for all the students, Chinese lunch for all!
Fri, Jan 31 - Feast Day of St. John Bosco. We will be having a mass on Friday, all students are to wear their dress uniforms. Trivia in the am and 8th grade vs faculty game in pm.
