Dear Salesian Family,
Happy Advent Greetings to each of you and your families! I write to
you with a heart full of joy and hope as we begin our Year of Mercy!
We had a beautiful liturgy Tuesday celebrated by Fr. Wayne Dawson,
pastor of St. Joseph’s Church. We celebrated many events: the beginning
of the Year of Mercy as requested by Pope Francis, the solemnity
of the Immaculate Conception, the feast day of our Province of Mary
Immaculate, and the commemoration of the first recorded occasion
when St. John Bosco helped a poor young boy named Bartholomew Garrelli.
We had the joy of consecrating ourselves to Mary along with
Marian Club members. Thanks to a generous benefactor, each child received
a miraculous medal along with a medal of
St. Benedict
