Dear Salesian Families,
During this Lenten season we are invited to journey with Jesus and live these days in prayer in a special way. What stops me from taking some time to walk into Church to simply sit before the Blessed Sacrament? Why not aside some time on Friday evening to join my parish in making the Stations of the Cross? How am I sharing my faith with my children? How do I continue to reflect the values I want my children to uphold in life?
Let us take the time to gather our family and approach the Sacrament of Reconciliation. It will give us the spiritual boost that we need to carry our daily crosses. These are the memories I want to create for my family; memories where we turn to God together in prayer.
Many of our parishes hold Reconciliation services during Lent. Let us make sure to save the date and participate as a family in this spiritual renewal and obtain for ourselves peace of mind and heart and true inner joy.

PRAYER FOR LENT
Lord Jesus, send your Holy Spirit upon me this Lent
that I might faithfully keep watch with you.
As I pray to our Father in spirit of repentance
and thanksgiving, help me to turn to my brothers and
sisters in love and service. May this sacred season be a
time of mercy, a time for me to forgive others
as I have been forgiven by you.
Bring all of us who worship you
as our redeemer closer together
as we prepare to celebrate
your dying and rising.
(Bishop Richard Garcia)
